The practice
What civic information architecture is, and the problems it addresses.

DSarchitek Inc. helps governments modernise data governance, technology platforms and innovation strategies for the entire citizen journey.
Decisions about public-sector data outlast the governments that make them. A land titles register, a vital statistics record or a citizen identifier set up this year will still be in use thirty years from now, under governments no one can predict. DSarchitek designs for that whole lifespan: what the system will allow, what it will protect, and who will inherit it.
At a large consulting firm, partners win the work and junior staff do much of it. DSarchitek works differently. At DSarchitek, the person who scopes the engagement also does the analysis, completes the designs, defines the strategies and roadmaps, delivers the deliverables, presents them to your decision-makers, and provides implementation guidance.
The experience is the same kind the large firms sell. The principal led enterprise information management for Alberta Health Services, directing more than 450 subject-matter experts across twelve work groups, and delivered master data management for Export Development Canada within its $2.1 million budget and 18-month schedule. Along the way, the principal managed vendor teams from Deloitte, EY and Accenture.
The engagement is for senior experience, knowledge, skill and time. It does not carry account managers, layers of internal review, staff waiting between projects, or office overhead.
